I'm still in a bit of a daze after the week of frantic preparations for Hip-Hopera. It was a harrowing experience that bled me dry of sweat, tears, and even a bit of blood, and I'm just pretty damn glad it's over. I learned many things.1. There are over-ambitious people who are not at all practical and cannot see a bad situation as it is. Even better, these errors in judgement can and will affect the ones that are actually attempting to carry out their vision/s. 2. I find it extremely taxing to work with people who have zero motivation to carry out a project well and good. My rationale is that if one takes on something, they bloody try their best and do it well. If not, don't even bother. I really hate people that dawdle and have no sense of urgency. Even worse when you are forced to oversee a task just because nobody else gives a damn. 3. It is human nature to be inconsiderate. I'm just glad that for every setback encountered, there was almost always someone to neutralise the acidity of the previous cruelties. If not for a few select indiviuals, I would have completely lost it. (Well, maybe I did.) Thank you San, Jo, Sheen, Alvin, Ripple, and Yoshie. Lifesavers. 4. First impressions don't count. I must always remember that.Whatever it is, I'm just glad that the shows are over, and that despite the negative parts, I have come away with new friends and new experiences. Thank you for your support.
