A really wonderful evening
Regalo! turned out to be rather a fun event, despite having to have to 'work' during dinner and the days before that too for the skit. Looking back, I guess it was quite fun hanging out with everyone, getting to know people a bit better, and altogether contributing a bit more. Although of cos there was all the grousing about it and etc etc. And of cos having to live with everyone calling you a bimbo!
Everyone turned up looking fabulous, especially Angie-babbyyy with her ultra hot black number. Girl, you were complaining about having no ass?? What was that I saw tonight then?? Haha. Hotttt. Took loads of pictures which I will upload soon! (Of everyone, not Angie's ass. Sorry guys.)
Regalo! itself was fun, made even better by great table company and wonderful friends. But I guess the best part of the evening wasn't at the bash itself, but at Keenan's place after. His rooftop garden is a really wonderful place to hang out (if there are no Francis rehearsals there) cos of the fresh wind, the darkness, and the stars. Had a really nice chat with Charkwa while lying on Keenan's bedsheets and gazing up at the stars. This really is the life -- getting to know a friend better, chatting, enjoying the breeze, and then finally realising its too cold and then snuggling up together under the bedsheet. Char>> Thank You.
Conversation / bitching / gossiping with Charkwa, Val, Kester, Nat, Alph, Eric, Charlin and a bit of Keenan and Mello after that was really nice too. Sitting under the stars, just talking about everything under the sun, both serious and goofy stuff ... I think I live for moments like these. Friends, good conversation, laughter... I really want to have more of these moments.
And finally when I laid down on the sheets with everyone else still talking... partly listening to their conversation while looking at the stars above me.. I felt a really beautiful sense of peace. Like time stops, and you're surrounded by warmth, love and friendship. But on the contrary, there was also a bit of a lonely feeling too. Such are life's contradictions.
Guess the most memorable parts about the evening were:
1) Seeing Netto's face when he realised that the wrapping paper on his birthday gift said "Marks and Spencer" =)
2) Getting ready in the bathroom with all the girlies
3) Swinging my nun's habit at Father Fred (!!! The irony of it all!)
4) Almost busting the stewardess outfit
5) The wind and the stars
6) And of cos, good friends.
Ahhh life can be really blissful.
Have a beautiful Christmas season, everyone.
