~Welcome, Summer!~

It's Summer! Last night at 2.46am, Summer arrived. And it's apparently a big thing here cos all the morning shows were talking about it. Aren't they cute?? =)

And to celebrate, I got my first ever ice-cream cone from the neighbourhood ice-cream truck! A plain vanilla cone never tasted better cos I've always thought those ice-cream trucks that have a million and one types of ice-cream in it are so cool. So buying the cone from the nice uncle peeking out of the window of his truck was as fun as eating the cone itself. Heehee.

Visited the museum of natural history yesterday, and it's the coolest museum I've visited so far. They have these exhibits of animals extinct and endangered, and they look So Incredibly Real. Took loads of pics, and my favourite is of 2 wolves in mid-run. The looks on their faces and the glaze in their eyes are amazing, and when I look at the pic, I feel as if the wolves are running right towards me. Will upload that pic when I get back. =)

Tonight was another musical - Spelling Bee. It was pretty enjoyable, and but I didn't like it as much as La Cage, cos the humour was very different. Bawdy humour may be pretty hilarious in everyday life, but when it's in a musical that you paid USD$95 to watch, you'd expect something a little... classier? Or at least wittier. Songs about little boys having erections just don't make the cut! *screech* And having a chinese Jesus Christ with rebonded hair up to this neck appear out of nowhere with a lantern Sacred Heart hanging from the middle of his chest isn't exactly tasteful either. *doubtful* I must say I felt pretty offended when that fake-o Jesus appeared.

off to get half-price tix for Beauty and the Beast tomorrow. It's so cool that we can get half price tix here just cos they can't sell all e tix for that evening's performance! How economical. *beam* This is a system I like very much. We should just have this in Singapore. I'll be watching a lot more musicals then! Plus they upgrade your seats here if the rows in front of you are not filled up. When they realise that those seats were not sold, they'll just ask you to move forward, even if the seat you move to is of a much higher price than the seat you paid for. How cool is that!! I should have just gotten the cheapest tix and wait for them to upgrade me 5 mins before the show starts.
