I dig hanging out with the girls, eating like there's no tomorrow, and reminiscing about past embarrassing moments that only the closest of closest are allowed to laugh at with great relish.Irene reminded us tonight of Angie's nasi-lemak episode in which both of us were studying in school on a weekend and I tapao-ed nasi-lemak which we ate in the Perk Point. Or at least, attempted to. We weren't expecting Angie to break her plastic spoon, drill a hole into the base of her styrofoam box, flip the rice all over herself, and proceed to sit there in stunned near-silence, with rice all over her bare thighs, the floor & the sofa, uttering only whimpering pleas of "Karen... helppp....," while I stared. And then we giggle. And then she realises there's cold rice inside her incredibly short shorts and we laugh even harder. And then she goes to the toilet to empty out her shorts and I'm stuck with having to dig into the grooves of the sofa to fish out the rice grains and about a million other dust balls deposited by previous occupants. And I have to share my lunch with her. Oh, the good times. Haha. I guess uni did have its high points.
