Valentine's Day at IJ & CJ was always an exciting affair. I remember the flurry of activity as we came to school with bags of little gifts for all our dearest friends. Flowers, chocolates, homemade brownies, handmade knickknacks. Little things to show just how much our friends matter. I would never dream of skipping school on Vday, because A) I wanted my gifts of course! And B) I wanted to give my own little gifts to friends.
There was once in CJ, Ewen & Fabs gave the girls fake flowers. It was hilarious. I remember it all. We were in the CAC room when they went around giving out purple and orange roses with fake dewdrops on them, complete with bashful looks on their faces. It was a really adorable gesture. I still have the flowers. :)
Well Vday has really changed a lot since school days. Gone are the days of chocolates, and brownies, and only the flowers part remains. That’s not a bad thing, really.
Last night, I received a happy sunflower in a bouquet, had a fabulous steak-fix, shared the calorie-count on strawberries & ice-cream, and to top it all off - engaged in some really good, funny, bitchy conversation. Thanks Ian for a very nice evening! (No, nothing's going on between us.)
The only damper was when I got home and my mum yelled at me about my messy room and it ended with a warning to pack my room by tonight or I will be jialat jialat.
BOO.
