I've been working on a wedding (belated!!) / house-warming gift for my bro and sis in law... using loads of glue and materials and what not.. .. pretty happy with the progress, but the most difficult part isn't the making, but the finding. I wanted to include a nice poem in the centre (alright, I know it's really hard to understand what I'm talking about cos there aren't pics. I might upload soon though!) and I spent almost the whole night finding something meaningful. So I found this... and I really like it. The words don't flow as nicely as they should, and some parts of it are a little awkward. But it's so sweet, and the little flaws just serve to make the poem more sincere and real... Love's PrayerOne day when I was all alone, I looked up to the sky. I asked the Lord to keep my love safe by my side.
I thought I heard a voice whisper gently in my ear.Turning around to see but I saw no one there. It must have been the breeze that gently blew across my cheek.I turned around once more to take another peek.
Looking back up into the clouds, once again I asked our Lord. Please just keep him safe, for it is him that I adore. So quiet in that moment, the breeze ceased to blow. Before I could even turn my head, I saw the glorious glow
My eyes saw a vision that took my breath away.Standing there before me was an angel filled with grace. She smiled at me and nodded, her words were soft and not forlorn."Your prayer I am to answer, your love has been sworn"
Understanding what to do, she made it very clear, she was here to protect him and keep him safe and dear. She told me that she was always there although I could not see.In her words she explained that she was always there for me.
She was my guardian angel that had watched me by my side. Now that I had pledged my love to him, then she would abide.Leaving me now to protect him and keep him safe from harm.Away she went into the mist freeing me from alarm.
Some while later at the end of the day.I felt a sudden tingle and I glanced the other way. There before me once again was an angel's glow. But this was not the angel that I had come to know.
She said "I am here to watch you and keep you from harm,It was his prayer that sent me, let me take you by your arm"…..
- Carol HinkleI haven't decided if I want to use it yet, cos it's a little too long for the space that I have.. but isn't it a cute poem??
