Back to nature... not really. The weekend was spent with the parents, the godparents, the god-siblings and the aunty at Kukup. Stayed at a so-called kelong, but the place turned out to be as non-kelong as could be. Concrete housing, that's for one. What happened to the floating wood? And air-conditioned bedrooms with proper bunk beds to sleep in. Haha. But definitely not complaining, cos I'm very much a hot-bathwater and aircon type of girl. And the food... oooo the foood... the fresh seafood and the consistent eating made it a real get-fat(ter) trip. =) The highlight of the trip was that I got to play with firecrackers for the first time! It was really fun, the burst of light they made in the sky was really cool. Like mini fireworks! I don't really see what's so dangerous about firecrackers that we have to ban them. Guess the govt's just being anal. I really do like these trips with the family, where we do nothing much but enjoy the company of each other, eat, sleep, and make merry. And cheap too! The whole 2 days of food, as well as transport to and from home only cost us $65 sing per head. Now that's what I call value for money! Pictures!
The 'kelong'. Looks like landed property doesn't it?

The uncle selling rambutans. His stall is so cute!

The fish I'm feeding are so smart! They shoot water at my fingers to get at the teeny ikan bilis I'm holding

The hang-out place at our residence. Not too bad, ya?
